Week Sixteen Results

Hello everyone,

What a week Week 16 of the season turned out to be, and it is all leading up to a showdown between myself and Simmons for the top spot in the regular season standings.

Simmons 11-5 was one game better than my 10-6, allowing him to close the gap and pull even with me heading into the last week of the season.

But we can't sleep on Fritz, his 12-4 record was good enough to pull him withing two games with one week to go, and he has had quite the hot streak picking winners lately.

Justin and Mark are still in it, but will need a lot of help to make it interesting. And we are all in great position to have our first year WITHOUT a 100 game loser this season. Greg needs to do 10-6 or better to stay out of triple digit losses.

We were 6-2 with out eight unanimous picks this week. Suprisingly, both losses came from the two conference leaders who both phoned in the second half of games they were winning by emptying this benches and blowing their leads.

And Mark's one Lone Wolf pick went south on him as the Redskins got blanked by the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Here is the Picks Panel Standings Graphic for this week as well as the Week 16 Picks Results page.

I plan on doing something a little different this week with the picks (something I will find a way to do next year as well). I have realized over time that I have an advantage at times over the rest of you because I see everyone's picks before anyone sees mine (although I typically make my picks on Tuesday or Wednesday). So this week, along with a Picks Reminder, I am going to send you guys my picks for the week so everyone can see who I am picking in this most crucial week.

I'm thinking next year we can do a message board or something so not only can you see what my picks are, but everyone else's as well before they are posted on the picks pages. Let me know how you guys feel about this one.

Anyway, I will have my picks out on Wednesday and you guys have until Thursday night to get me yours so I can have the page up by Friday.

Good luck everyone,

Larry D.
