Hello again all,
Well, we were pretty much picking as a unit and we achieved success as a unit......as least in terms of wins and losses. No one scored less than 11 wins this week with our picks.
Points was a different story though. The funny thing is, where we only had two people finish with over 100 points last week, this week we only had ONE person finish BELOW 100pts.
Sorry Andy. You only got five picks wrong, but they all had some pretty heavy values on them.
Simmons is flying out of the gates so far this season, finishing 13-3 for the 2nd time in as many weeks and scoring 120 points to put 27pts between himself and 2nd place.
I was nipping right at his heels with my own 13-3 record scoring 119 pts. And despite my 4th best 22-10 record, my wins have been good enough for 211 pts to move me into 2nd after two weeks. Only Mark is over 200pts thus far with 204 good enough for 3rd.
We were 8-1 with our unanimous picks this week. Only Philly let us down with New England (barely), Atlanta, Green Bay, Baltimore, Houston, New Orleans, Oakland and Cincinnati coming through for us.
Lone Wolf picks were 2-3 this week. Simmons went 1-1 with his picks, Arizona beat Detroit but he missed on picking the NY Giants over the Broncos. Greg missed on Minnesota over Chicago (phew!) Max got Miami over Indy (much to chagrin of Simmons who was in attendance for that one). And Andy missed on Dallas over KC. All except the Denver/NYG blowout were close games that could have gone either way so not even the wrong picks were bad choices.
Here is the Week Two Results page and the Picks Panel Standings graphic
The Week Three reminder will be hot on the heels of this message. So be sure and get your picks in by Wednesday so I can get the page up by Thursday.
