Week Seventeen Results

Hello again all,

So the regular season comes to a close and for the most part the playoffs don’t really look anything like what I was expecting so I really have no idea how this is all going to shake out.

But that is beside the point. I have decided to take a break from suicide watch (goddamn Bears) and release this week's results.

We were 5-0 with our unanimous picks this week with San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, New England and Denver all coming through for us.

Lone Wolf picks, or should I say Andy, was 1-2 this week. He guessed right on Carolina over New Orleans but missed on Philly over NY Giants and Dallas over Washington.

Simmons finishes the regular season on top of the points and wins standings, but we still have the post season to try and catch him.

Just as a reminder, because I have gotten some e-mails about this, we are doing the confidence game this year so that there is ONE overall champion as opposed to the regular season/post season champs we've had in the past.

So our records and points carry us all the way through to the Super Bowl where there will be one man left standing.

Here is the Week Seventeen Results Page and Picks Panel Standings graphic

Here are this week's Wild Card Round matchups:

Cincinnati at Houston
Minnesota at Green Bay
Indianapolis at Baltimore
Seattle at Washington

We are playing the post-season the same way that we have in past years. For those who need a reminder the rules that are slightly different than what we have been using in the regular season.

Here's refresher:

There are eleven games in the post-season so we will be ranking them 1-11. You can use whatever values you want this week and the remainder will be left over to use for the following rounds.

For example, they should look something like this:

Cincinnati 2
Green Bay 8
Indianapolis 5
Seattle 1

I used 1,2,5,8 which means I have 3,4,6,7,9,10,11 to use for the remaining weeks.

Picks are due by Thursday so I can have the page out by Friday.
