Happy New Year everyone!
Sorry for the delay, a second consecutive work week that went by reallt fast for me had me forgetting what day of the week it was. I was even late recording/releasing the latest episode of my Bears podcast too.
Anyway, on to Week Seventeen, a week that is usually one of the most difficult to pick because of teams phoning in the final game to prepare for the playoffs or becuase their season has long since been over.
The interesting thing about this season is that even though many teams have clinched berths in the playoffs, all but one (New England) has something riding on the outcome of their last game including the Sunday night game for all of the NFC West marbles.
Well despite my best efforts, I was not able to make my usual climb from the cellar to the top of the standings. For ths first time in all the years that Simmons and I have been making picks, I didn't spend one day in first place. Something I hope to correct next season.
Not going to bother with unanimous or Lone Wolf picks this week because it's a two man race in the last week between our defending regular season champion Simmons and this year's start to finish leader Mark Bailey. Mark holds a three game lead going into the last week and Simmons has answered the call as they have SEVEN disagreements. Mark only has to win three of them to claim this year's regular season crown.
Here is the Week Seventeen picks page showing everyone's picks.
I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year and thank you all again for playing with me this season, it's been a blast as always.
