Hello again everyone,
Over the years, Week One has always been one of those weeks that would have you scratching your head. Sometimes it would have to do with upsets that take place, other times you get picks right but end up being shocked at the margin of victory. This year was no exception as we were all in danger of getting BOTH Monday Night games wrong and ruining a very strong Sunday showing by everyone.
No losing records for Week One this year which is a first. For someone who spent plenty of time in the lower end of the standings last year, Justin Gerlach is coming out swinging with an opening weekend record of 15-1. He is followed closesly by my brother Mike who makes his picks debut with a 14-2 record. Simmons came in 3rd at 13-3. But never fear, I went 12-4 so I've got my eye on all of you.
When Mark re-joined the fold we lost a unanimous pick because he picked Cleveland over Minnesota, but the six remaining unanimous picks were correct ones. He also made two of our three Lone Wolf picks just minority picks. He joined Sarah on the Tennessee bandwagon and lost, but he joined up with Max on the San Francisco pick and won. Sarah lost the other Lone Wolf pick when Seattle blanked the Rams.
I am working on a Standings graphic like the one we had last year and will post that with the picks page this week.
Please remember to have your Week Two picks to me by Thursday night so I can have the page up by Friday. And remember, no matter when you get your picks in, you can change them all the way up until Saturday because I can always fix it on the results page.
Good start everyone, hoping the season goes this smooth picks-wise from here on out.
Here is this week's results page

No more cellar battles for me, I played mostly chalk last week, and week two looks like more of the same. Does SD play good enough to secure a win next week? Does PHI look like they can beat NO? Lots of games to pick wrong next week.
